With starting in my new position, I only end up with one day off this week (today). That stinks…a lot. But it’s a better position and I’m happy for the change so I guess I should stop my yappin’.

Working today and the office A/C is on the fritz. I work in a 42 story tower so I can’t even crack the window. It’s aaaaaaaaaaaawful. I feel like someone wrapped a damp fleece blanket around me….and it’s 8:25 AM. I can’t wait for noon. Sigh. Thank goodness for ice water and fans.
I switched providers [...]

I was supposed to begin in my new DSL/VPN position effective Monday, August 1st but due to an impairment, I got moved early and thrown to the wolves so to speak. Without any real training, I was in working tickets and taking customer calls.
But it’s all good. I’ve learned a ton.

This is my Illustration Friday doodle type thingy. It’s title is “Even in a city of millions, I feel all alone”. Kind of a downer…it just came out. I used Microsoft Paint for this one for the boxy, bitmap look. Anywho, click on the thumbnail to see the full sized image.

Bri and I have been pretty relaxed the past few nights. We’ve been watching Tivo’d episodes of “The X-Files” and resting in bed like bums. :) Brian finally got done loading music on his iPod so he’s been laying around the house listening to it full blast. So [...]

Here’s the first picture of my new neice! Casey Renee Arrowsmith was born at 2:55 PM on July 5, 2005. She weighs 6 pounds and 6 ounces. What a cutie.

My sister, Jillian, just had a little girl! Yay! That makes 2 neices and 3 nephews.
Mother and baby are both fine. She’s 6 lbs, 6 ozs. and beautiful. I’ll post a picture tomorrow.

I’ve also added our pictures from the Olivia Newton-John into a Flash based photo gallery. You can take a look at it here. I haven’t decided on the colors yet, so I’m still tinkering.

I have to admit it - I think the Fourth of July is my least favorite holiday. Now don’t get me wrong - I love America, it’s not about that. But I can think of a million better ways to show it than by setting off noisy firecrackers into the wee hours of the night. [...]

What a sad, sad day. For those of you who haven’t heard, Luther Vandross passed away yesterday. I am absolutely heart broken, he was a living legend to me. It’s such a shame, too. His most recent CD, “Dance with my Father”, was excellent from being to end - I was looking forward to more [...]
