Apple - iPod Hi-Fi. Nuff said. Where do I sign up, when can I get one, who do I have to marry?Â
It is 77 degrees here in Oklahoma today and I have no air conditioning. Why you ask? Because we bought a new home and new homes, apparently, come with just about everything you need. It came with plush carpeting, 2″ wooden blinds in all of the windows, ceramic tiles, ceiling fans and more.Â
But what’s one [...]
I spent some time over the weekend looking back at old photos. You ever do that? Just sit there eating Wheat Thins and thinking how much skinnier you used to be but, more importantly, how much you’ve matured. I started thinking about all of the life lessons I’ve learned over my time here. Each little [...]
.[photopress:pref_fullscreen.png,thumb,pp_empty]Oooh! Via 9rules, I just found out about Shopify. What’s Shopify you ask? Good question!
Shopify is e-commerce made easy, according to their website. It’s a centralized (and hosted) solution to administrating an online store. More than that, it’s beautifully designed.Â
Even from the few screenshots they’ve posted on the site, you can tell that the designers have [...]
They’ve been talking about it for over a week but, here in Okie-la-homa, we don’t believe the weather guy until we see proof. Well, for once, they were right.
We got at least an inch of snow last night, which is pretty crazy since it was 70 degrees on Thursday.[photopress:DSCN0609.JPG,thumb,alignright] But it’s great; [...]
I have officially started 3 different posts today (well, 6 if you count the three I began, then abandoned at Pride In Life). I just can’t seem to focus enough to put together a coherent entry — ever have one of those days?
So, why not write about the fact that you can’t write? I’ll spare [...]
Those who know me, even remotely, know that I am an American Idol fanboy. Like majorly.
It began as a coy affair with Kelly Clarkson. It grew with Ruben. We commited with Fantasia and began our family with Carrie.
Those who know me also know I pick my favorites in Hollywood. So far, [...]
A group of us at work decided it was our time…OUR TIME! Sorry…had a Goonies moment.
We decided, since the lottery was up to 300 million, we would start a pool, buy a bunch of tickets and then tell the man to take this job and shove it (after we had won a bazillion dollars of [...]
Alright, so I am ALL about the new Wordpress 2, Fauna template system and the kajillion plugins I’m tinkering with…but there’s one thing that sorta bummed me about the conversion from TXP to WP.
Some of my text got dinked around with during the coversion; commas became question marks, excerpts became, well, nothing, and my inserted [...]

As you may, or may not, have noticed, I’ve tweaked the site a bit. In addition to upgrading to Wordpress 2 (which I wrote about here), I’ve added a couple important plugins.
Gravatars — For serious bloggers, this is nothing new. But to those unfamiliar with the Avatar, it’s basically a little icon you choose to [...]
♥Â HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! ♥
Okay, wanna help Brian and I start our own business? Sure you do! All you have to do is check out our Ebay auctions and, well, buy something. :)
We’ve decided to start an online retail business and need to raise about $1,100.00 as an initial investment but the more [...]
Okay, so I had written this whole little witty review of this past Grey’s Anatomy episode….then I read Shonda’s account on Grey’s blog. Her’s is much better. So just go read it and leave me with my shame.
My story
My name is Ryan Arrowsmith and I’m a 26-year-old ginger living in Oklahoma. This is my personal website that I’ve run since about 2004. I’m not the kind of person who enjoys talking about myself and I suck at writing in the third-person, but I’ll tell you what you [...]
No need to bless me, I didn’t sneeze. ;)
I came across Matisyahu a couple months ago. A coworker was playing his single “King Without a Crown” and it was damn catchy but didn’t really grab my full attention.
Last week, I see that Matisyahu has a live session on AOL.com. I didn’t have anything else to [...]
I am developing a site called “Pride In Life“. The site focuses on spotlighting positive role models in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
I had been playing around with the idea for many, many months. The main reason I wanted to do the site was because there’s so much negativity being levied at the GLBT community. As our government has moved in a more conservative direction, it seems like we’re catching flack for just about everything (you killed Kenny! You bastards!). Also, in the past few years, many states have passed legislation denying gay and lesbian couples the right to legal protection and recognition.
Ma.gnolia is a new social bookmarking service that’s still in the beta testing status.
Now, there are several different bookmarking services…the most popular is probably Del.icio.us (which I have also used).
I got into the Ma.gnolia beta about a week or so ago and, I have to say, I am hooked. The structure of the site is simple and elegant, as is the design. You can tell that, for once, a company has really focused on providing an excellent product packaged in a beautifully designed interface and website. Flickr comes close to this, I think they did a terrific job with the design and integrating Flash. Del.icio.us could take a page out of Ma.gnolia’s design book, though. They offer a valuable service but the interface could be tweaked greatly.
Okay, Grey’s Anatomy is officially the best show on TV right now, possibly ever. We had Tivo’d it cause of the Superbowl and got around to watching it last night.
I figured out the song I adored from last week. It’s “Scratch” by Kendall Payne. It’s without a doubt one of the best songs I have [...]
So Brian and I bought a new TV over the weekend for our bedroom. We got it at Best Buy and took it home ourselves.
We noticed on Monday that part of the picture has a dark, discolored line through it no matter what you’re watching. I called Best Buy from work yesterday and expressed my frustration. This was a large purchase and it’s not working correctly. The ole gal on the phone told us to come by and they could schedule delivery of a new TV and pick up of the busted joint.
We did. Brian and I went to Best Buy last night to schedule a time for the new TV to be delivered and the old one to be taken away. First off, is there anyone over the age of 16 working for Best Buy?
