Matt Brett filled me in on all sorts of announcements from X’06. Out of everything, I’m most the most excited about Grand Theft Auto IV.
Song: I Loves You, Porgy
Artist: Nina Simone
Album: Feeling Good: The Very Best of Nina Simone
Why I Loves You, Porgy?
I’m going to be honest…I know the song is from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess but I don’t know much about [...]
Let’s face it — none of us really enjoy grocery shopping. For the average person, it’s a necessary evil we put off as along as we can by making short, frequent trips to pick up a few things at a time. But it doesn’t have to be so gruesome. Brian and I [...]
Oh man! The new ipod Shuffle is wickedly awesome. It’s so tiny but it holds a gig of music. That’s pretty friggin great. And it’s cheap. If I didn’t already have my old 40GB Gen 3 ipod, I’d be tempted. Word.
Did you hear they are using CGI to enhance all of the original Star Trek espisodes? Read about it here. Anyone else think this is a terrible, terrible idea? Part of it’s charm is the camp factor people!
Before you ask, no, the robot has absolutely nothing to do with this post; I just thought the little fella was cute. Dance, dance, dance (you can find him and other freebies at Ron and Joe’s).
I got Ray LaMontagne’s new CD, Till the Sun Turns Black, over the weekend. It’s fan-friggin-tastic. Ray’s [...]
Back when I was in school and studying art, i was always partial to ink and charcoal. I dabbled in everything, but I was really best in those two. My favorite marker brand was(is) Prismacolor markers. There’s just nothing else comparable. The way they lay on the color in thick, rich [...]
Batman is the shizzy. From the time I was a wee lad riding my tric around the block, I’ve been a total Batman fanboy. I picked up the Batman: The Long Halloween graphic novel and, I gotta tell ya, I was blown away. The detail of the artwork is simply [...]
Another pretty site: JsBlog. Check it out when you have a second. And, no, I’m not dead. :)
Song: Fix You
Artist: Coldplay

Why Fix You?
Back in the early days of our relationship, Brian kept going on about this buzzworthy band from England. “They’re gonna be huge”, he said to me. [...]
After my first class, I already have homework? 10 chapters, 2 paragraphs on media literacy, a brief bio and an essay covering the 10 chapters I have to read.
And I signed up for this? Willingly? Heh.
All joking aside, I am excited. I am one of those people who love to learn [...]
Back to school day. Woo hoo! I’m pretty excited but I’d be a complete liar if I didn’t also admit I am a tad nervous. I’ve been out of school for seven years now, I’m prolly a bit rusty on learnin’ reel good. :) But it’ll all be groovy, I [...]
I was surfing Youtube and came across two different video clips of Justin Timberlake performing a new song off his yet unreleased album, FutureSex/LoveSounds. They aren’t the best quality of course but you can make out the song — and it’s hawt! I haven’t even heard the full song and it’s prolly already my [...]
Brian and I went to see Jewel in Norman on Friday. She was playing at the Riverwind Casino, which is the same place we saw Pat Benatar last weekend. They’re really getting some great acts, it’s pretty cool.
Earlier in the day, the Casino had been closed down because of a chemical spill that [...]
Brian and I Tivo’d the MTV VMAs last night then scanned through it on fast forward. Have to say, I loved adored Christina’s performance of “Hurt” from disc II of Back to Basics. Watch Christina Aguilera’s VMA Performance on Youtube.
We also really enjoyed Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and, of course, our girl Shakira. [...]
One year ago yesterday, the most terrifying, amazing and life changing events began: at 8:30 PM on August 31st, we got a call from Brian’s nurse that they had a donor heart for him. After four exhausting months of waiting where Brian had to wear an IV pack 24/7, our waiting came to an [...]
