Continuing from where I left off the other day, I wanted to go over a few more things about the site redesign.
Ahhh! To be accepted. Is there any greater feeling? :) I was recently accepted into the Mint Pages community, a forum for skilled developers. Yay!
I have been working on a redesign of this site for a long time now. The previous design, which I dubbed Firebolt, got a little bit of recognition but I thought it followed the mold of your typical blog site a bit too much. It was a basic, two-column, deliver-your-content kind of site [...]
I’ve relaunched the site sporting a brand new theme, dubbed Fraggle Jazz (’cause it’s a bit smoother than rock), just in time to be Pink for October.
I don’t know how I feel about this, ’cause I love the original TV show. And, let’s face it, Jim Henson was a visionary and, without his guidance, this could all be very, very bad. But, who knows, maybe it will be awesomo.
Am I the only person left on Earth that just doesn’t see the point in RSS feeds? Everyone I know has their Bloglines account or some other method of streaming their favorite website without actually visiting that site.
Well, that’s silly.
I know there’s a heated debate over which is more important in a website: design [...]
Brian and I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer a few weeks back. We rented the first disc of season one, just to see if we were both feeling it (I had seen a few episodes over the years and thought it was good). We finished the first disc in no [...]
Brian, Andy (his best friend) and I all went to see Heart live in Concert at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma. I have to tell you, I’m loving this whole casino thing and not because I gamble — I’ve never gambled with real money — but because of all of the excellent concerts [...]
Heart
Blog Entry: Coming soon.
Pictures:
Date: October 12, 2006
City: Norman, Oklahoma
Venue: Riverwind Casino
Opening Act: None.
Notes: Brian, Andy and I saw Heart live at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma (just outside of Oklahoma City).
Cyndi Lauper
Blog Entry: Cyndi Lauper and Life
Pictures: on Flickr
Date: October 3, 2006
City: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Venue: The Brady Theater
Opening Act: The Rule
Notes:
We went to see Cyndi Lauper in concert last Tuesday. She was in town at the Brady Theater for the evening and she was pretty darn great.
The opening act was a band called The Rule. Now, for me, the opening act is generally an annoying delay that gets between me and a good time [...]
I was working on my laptop over the weekend and decided I’d like a new background. I downloaded a few pretty awesome ones from Pixel Girl but I have an odd resolution on my monitor (1440 x 900). So, what else is there to do but design your own?
Thus I give you “Aces [...]
