About Me

Snap, snap

My love of photography began at an early age when I’d pick up my Mom’s point-and-shoot film camera (remember those?) and run around snapping pictures. As you can imagine, she was thrilled with me at the time. :)

As a teenager, my family got our first digital camera and that’s when my hobby really blossomed. I had always been involved in the arts (I was in art classes of some sort for the first 12 years of my life) and knew my way around Photoshop pretty well. I found out quickly that I could combine my love of digital editing with the images from our camera and create something much better than either could produce on their own.

Fast forward a few years and I’m an adult. After getting frustrated with the constraints of my point-and-shoot, I finally dove in and picked up my first DSLR. And, once again, my love of photography blossomed. Since then I have upgraded a few times, continued to grow and furthered my education (including a stop by Ashley Ann’s infamous SnapShops). There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t have my camera in my hand. It’s truly what I love to do. It’s my passion, it’s my love and it’s my creative outlet.

The rest of the story

I actually work full-time for a phone company. I’ve been with them for nearly a decade now and I love my job, the people I work with and the challenges I face on a daily basis. It’s rewarding and it’s something I’m very grateful for.

In November of 2009, I married my partner in crime, and the greatest man I’ve ever known, Jeremy. He is my better half in every regard. He is my bestfriend, the person who can make me laugh even at the worst times and he’s the person I know I can always count on when push comes to shove. And he’s sorta cute. :)

On May 3, 2010, Jeremy and I welcomed our son, Rigley, into our lives, hearts and home. He is the center of our world and he is the most amazing little man on the planet (and, no, I’m not biased at all). :) Each day he grows and changes so much that I’m still amazed. He is our miracle baby and we cherish him. He is going to be the most spoiled (in a non-bratty way) munchkin on the planet.
